Meet the Team Leaders

In the 1990’s, while South Africa was feeling the start of a new Democracy, John Vlismas and Bee Chapman were leaving the Durban Institute of Technology. They had studied Drama and knew that doors could be politely knocked on or kicked down. Bee went on to become one of the most respected live producers and directors in the country, and John became a rude but busy comedian as well as a very successful scriptwriter, talent manager and video producer. He is currently an MBA student. Their friendship endured, as did their careers in the Arts. After decades of doing what they love – they decided to join forces officially and bring creativity to the corporate world like never before.

And, so OGO was born.

After a few years of growth and thrilled clients (there are lots of letters, but we don’t like to be those guys) it was time to grow the team. In 2019, OGO was excited to welcome Lwazi Mngoma as a partner. Lwazi has 17 years of experience. Mngoma is a multi-skilled  “can-do” guy. His capabilities include: show direction, talent & project management, script writing, content concept design and stage management. Lwazi shares the OGO vision to redefine value in the eventing space.
“What does OGO mean? Whatever you like – that’s what a creative business is supposed to do – help you be creative,” smiles John.
“That’s easy… PASSION. We care,” says Bee, “AND WE DON’T TALK ABOUT STUFF, WE MAKE YOU FEEL IT.”
